Art is the NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate’s (STMD) Director of Strategic Partnerships in the Colorado region.
He is responsible for improving and enhancing coordination between NASA and the region’s aerospace and technology community in order to leverage funding, capabilities, and expertise within and outside NASA to address technology barriers and advance technology.
Prior to this position Art served as NASA’s Assistant Associate Administrator (Acting), where he helped oversee the planning, directing, organization, and control of the agency’s day-to-day technical and programmatic operations. Art has also served as a Congressional Fellow supporting the Senate Space and Science Subcommittee, and in positions at Goddard Space Flight Center, and Kennedy Space Center.
Art has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
