Tanya Ramond is Director of Product Management at BridgeComm Inc., a Denver-based startup company whose mission is to revolutionize global communications via optical wireless networks tailored for the commercial sector. Dr. Ramond employs the art of product strategy and customer discovery to amplify the adoption of enabling technologies. She is a voice for the unique challenges and mindsets needed to successfully launch a hardware-based product and has twice assembled and moderated panels at Denver Startup Week to underscore the challenges of transitioning technology from R&D to commercial. Dr. Ramond served as a due diligence analyst for Rockies Venture Club, evaluating early stage startup companies for angel investment, and reviews grant applications for the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade Early Stage Capital program. She spent nearly 10 years at Ball Aerospace as a systems engineer and engineering manager for several multi-million-dollar R&D programs to develop and test new laser-based remote sensing instrumentation. Dr. Ramond recently completed her MBA from the University of Denver Daniels School of Business, and earned her PhD from the University of Colorado Physics Department.
